Optilase is dedicated to using the safest and most advanced technology available and offers two types of revolutionary treatments - Standard and Advanced CustomVue WaveFront.
What is Advanced CustomVue WaveFront?
Just like your fingerprints, each pair of eyes is unique. Advanced CustomVue WaveFront technology works by correcting your vision according to the individual imperfections in your eyes, meaning each laser treatment is tailored to correct your unique vision.
How Does Advanced CustomVue WaveFront Work?
Because it was originally developed for use in high powered telescopes to reduce distortion when viewing objects in outer space, the technology used in WaveFront procedures is state of the art.
During the process, a highly advanced scanner known as the WaveScan creates an accurate map of how light passes through your eyes. The result is a set of measurements 25 times more accurate than those of a routine eye test.
Not only does the WaveFront procedure provide detailed measurements of your prescription, it also catalogues the natural imperfections (known as higher order aberrations) unique to your eyes.
According to research, these higher order aberrations may be responsible for poor night vision and have been linked to the common problems of glare and halos. Thanks to the technology used in WaveFront, it’s now possible to correct night vision to a level that’s even better than glasses or contact lenses.
